Tyrannicide (Brig) logbook, 1777-1778.

The logbook of the brig Tyrannicide details a privateering voyage from Salem, Mass., to Martinique and the West Indies, Nov. 1777-May 1778. The master was Jonathan Haraden; the brig's owner was Joshua Ward of Salem. The logbook includes information on a death at sea; diseases, specifically smallpox; and the ship's equipment and supplies, specifically provisions. During its voyage, the Tyrannicide spoke the brigs America (out of Boston), Hazard, Lyon, and Oliver (out of Salem).
